The season starts now

Sagres Natura is ready for you! And so are the waves..

The surf camp is open and our first guests are already enjoying the surf lessons!

We're warming up slowly, and so is Sagres - with some beautiful sunny days last week!

Today it's a little cloudy but that doesn't stop the surf school from going out to have fun - remember we have super cosy wetsuits and when you're active and enjoying yourself it's the best way to keep warm!

The weather forecast is getting better and it should be a sunshine and blue sky weekend in the Algarve, with the average temperature rising to 20°C by April.

Of course, the micro-climate of south Portugal means it was an easy winter here, so it feels warm already for our guests from further north of Europe but we can't wait for the long summer days and late nights at the beach!

And it's great to be back together with the Sagres Natura team, as we all fall happily into our routine again.
As you can see, Rogelio and Massimo are excited to see each other

and when the vans loaded up with surfboards and went off in search of perfect waves

we made plans and had a very nice coffee

while Renata tidied up in the reception (too busy for photos)

The Sagres Natura Surf Spots Guide

The location of Sagres, on the southwest peninsula of Portugal, means consistent surf and only a short drive to the south or west coast. There are many beaches to choose from: the ones closest to the surf camp are only 5 minutes away, and lots more just 10, 20, 30 minutes away.

But how do you know where to go?

Learning to surf isn’t only about standing up on the board

Learning to surf is much more than catching waves, it’s an experience that contains many lessons, and different for everybody. We share with you the surf journey of one of our lovely guests – it’s a long story, capturing what she finds special about surfing and Sagres; her discoveries, joys and thoughts. You maybe feel in some ways the same, or see surfing with completely different eyes. Let us know if you like to share your story for another news, and enjoy the read! Andra, from Bucharest but living now in Luxembourg, first stayed with us in September 2016..
